Nonpayment Clause for Notary Services:

Compensation and Remedies Upon Nonpayment
The client/contracting party acknowledges and agrees that upon engaging Michael C Hunt, a commissioned Notary Public in the State of Arizona, for notarial services, and upon completion of such services—including the presentation, acknowledgment, witnessing, and execution of documents—the agreed-upon fee for such services shall be due in full according to the payment/compensation policy outlined in the Notary instructions.

Should the client/contracting party fail to remit full payment for said services, according to the payment/compensation policy, after the notarial acts have been completed and documents approved, signed, or accepted by the client/contracting party or their designated recipient, the Notary shall be entitled to pursue all available legal remedies to recover:

The full amount of the originally agreed-upon notary service fee; Mileage reimbursement calculated at the current IRS standard mileage rate or an otherwise agreed-upon rate, for travel incurred in rendering legal remedies; Compensation of $100.00 per hour for time lost, including but not limited to:
Time expended pursuing payment; Time spent preparing for and attending court or mediation proceedings; Time spent compiling evidence and legal documentation; Court filing fees, legal costs, certified mailing costs, and other out-of-pocket expenses directly related to enforcing payment; Interest on the unpaid balance, calculated from the date services were rendered, at the maximum rate allowable under Arizona law.

The Client further agrees that acceptance or use of the notarized documents shall serve as evidence of completion, acceptance, and satisfaction of services, and that any subsequent refusal to pay shall constitute breach of contract and authorize legal enforcement.
