My experience as a notary, along with other areas that support this work:

Legal Experience and Education: J.D. (not an attorney); specialize in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law-State and Federal, Indian Law, Family Law, Real Estate, and Business Law; twenty years research, field investigation, policy research analysis, and technical writing experience; three years notarial signing agent experience.

Real Estate Law: Small Claims Hearing Officer volunteer for the Justice courts for the last ten years, cases typically involving a variety of contracts, including real estate disputes: purchases, mortgages, cancellations, contractors, HOA’s, and landlord/tenant. Researching records and conducting title searches for an asset protection group in order to repair hundreds of prior defective trusts. As a loan processing assistant: helped organize mortgage loan packets.

Notarial Signing Agent for several title companies for last 3 years, providing mortgage loan closings for refinance and loan modification packages, ensuring all documents are complete and signed properly for client lenders and borrowers. Completed around 40 signings.

Administrative Skills: Liaison and coordination as a state commissioner (Arizona Indian Affairs), and large conference set-up. In Small Claims Hearings, cases typically involve voluminous case files and records which must be reviewed before deciding the case, along with time management, wherein a balance must be had between affording a full hearing and adhering to the case calendar when several cases are scheduled.

Teaching Experience: As an interim Director at Lampson College in Paralegal Studies, I began work on a new curriculum besides teaching fast-paced courses in Introduction to Paralegal, Legal Writing, and English grammar. As a Tutor, I provide secondary and college students personalized instruction in language arts, social sciences, paralegal studies, and research, writing, and proofreading of papers.

Human Relations Skills: Behavioral Science degree and conflict resolution and advocacy experience: Involved with alternative dispute resolution policy and practice since 1985; certified mediator for Maricopa County Justice Courts. Facilitator: Compassionate Communication Workshops, based on Nonviolent Communication and empathetic listening.

Overall, these positions utilize all of my skills: administrative, documents and detail, research and writing, conflict resolution, and problem solving towards In Depth Signing's mission of professional and efficient processing and closing of mortgage loan packages, with care and concern for the customer. The values of honesty, social responsibility, and collaboration/communication are core to my work ethic.
