I have done loan signings for more than 20 years - since April 2000. I have traveled all the way from LAX to Santa Barbara and San Diego for assignments. I am an independent contractor so I work alone. I know loan documents like I know my own children. I always have repeat clients because they are very frequently happy with my signings due to my punctuality, reliability, neatness and organization - and because the documents always come back nearly perfect and borrowers are always satisfied. All these years of experience pays off since I am familiar with every kind of document requiring notarization. I know exactly where the signatures need to be or not be and am proud of my attention to detail. I take pride in my work, am very efficient and I love my job. I don't mind traveling so I'd go as far as Santa Barbara or San Diego as long as compensation is fair.

Signing loan documents during COVID times is a challenge but I take extra precautions and practice safety first and foremost. During pre-appointment confirmation I ask borrowers the 3 NSA questions and I let the borrowers know my answers for the NSA questions as well. I let them know that I am alright with signing documents outdoors in their backyard or patio and that I will be wearing a mask and if they could do the same. I always bring a bottle of hand sanitizer with a pump and another hand sanitizer spray bottle. When I arrive at the signing, I set up and place these things out on the table. I sanitize my hands, sanitize all the pens, my book, the thumbprinter in front of them and make them aware of it. We use the hand sanitizer to moisten our fingers for turning the pages too. I bring 3 small portable lanterns in case they don't have good lighting for signing in case the lighting is inadequate (which also helps in recent power outages) I also wear a baseball hat that has a built in flashlight when necessary. I give the clients one set of documents while I have the other set all while keeping appropriate distance. I am able to go page by page and explain and show them where to sign without being too close to them. I can show them page landmarks from across the table by pointing it out with copies I have on hand. In other words, I come prepared. I also make sure to sanitize everything again before leaving the appointment and, of course, I always make sure to double-check and triple-check the documents before departing. That is my process for signing these documents.
