I understand the importance of guiding a borrower through the loan package without giving any legal advice. An incomplete signing or a signing full of errors can cost a mortgage officer a rate lock, a buyer to miss the close of escrow date or just cause everyone that is involved multiple headaches. For this reason I double check dates, initials and signatures. I walk the borrower through the closing statement, the note, the deed of trust, the closing disclosure. I always make sure that the borrower initials any corrections to the notice of right to cancel and ensure they are filled out properly.
If any mistakes are caused I will make sure to prioritize the correction, get it fixed and back asap. I understand the importance of receiving documents back on time, they will be sent out immediately after the signing is complete. I provide a confirmation once documents have been sent out.
