I have been a Florida Notary for 15 years. I started working as a loan officer at American General Finance doing personal, motor vehicle and mortgage loans. My duties included completing the loan process from start to finish. Most importantly preparing documents, performing the signing, and finalizing the documents.
After about 5 years, I expanded my skill set to Finance and Lending landing a job at a well-known Bank as a Mortgage Loan Closer and Processer. In these positions, I increased my experience preparing mortgage loan documents for commercial and residential Purchases, Refinances, Modifications and HELOCs. I am also experienced in preparing the Closing Instructions and knowing what to look for. Once loan signings are complete, I checked for all critical documents, legible signatures from all required attendees, correct dates and notarizations. I was also recognized for having 0% Error Rate in my department.
Finally, I am a people person. Although that may sound cliché, it is a essential skill to have when meeting with these clients. I understand that they are at the end of a very important life-changing process, and this is a critical moment. Being able to engage them in a friendly, yet professional manner will put them at ease almost every time.
