I understand that a non-borrowing spouse is on the deed or title, not the promissory note. Therefore, they should only sign the title and/or deed documents, not loan documents. If the borrowers have any questions about the documents, I’ll encourage them to contact their loan officer for clarification. I will never give any legal advice. I am available to meet your clients at the location of their choosing whether it’s their home, office, or local coffee shop. I have no problem completing trailing documents and reverse mortgages.
