Martin DeRoy is a 40 year jewelry industry sales and marketing executive.
Raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Martin began his marketing career after graduating from Youngstown State University with BS in BA degree in Advertising and Marketing.
After years of executive teams with national and regional retail chain store jewelers and manufacturers, Martin joined the Sarasota based lab-grown diamond company, Gemesis in 2007 as Vice President of Marketing. When Gemesis moved to New York City in 2015, Martin semi-retired and was a consultant to the jewelry and diamond industry.
In 2010, Martin and his wife, Kathy purchased a Sarasota boutique hotel. This new business adventure proved to be an exciting and profitable opportunity. The business was sold in 2015 to a developer.
Martin is a board member of the Sarasota RC Squadron, a private pilot and a motorcycle enthusiast.
