I am a notary with over 11 years of experience in the mortgage loan signing industry. I was an attorney in NC for more than eight years, with my primary practice in the field of real estate title searches and closings. I joined my husband in Florida in 2001. Here I have been able to continue my favorite portion of my prior real estate practice , the mortgage loan closing, without the requirement of being a licensed attorney. I left the field when the real estate industry suffered the major down swing in the late part of the 2000 decade. I continued to be a part of the industry as a loan analyst in the wholesale lending department of a major bank. I am currently retired but staying active as an independent closing agent.
