Claim settlements, Reverse Mortgage applications, and Buyer/Seller packages are all closings that I am familiar with. A typical closing for me begins with the confirmation call. During this call I confirm the signers information, request that a copy of a valid ID be ready to collect, and confirm that all signers and/or witnesses will be present at the time of the closing. I then promptly update the system to reflect the call. Once at the closing, I maintain professional interactions, ensure I have received a valid ID, observe and review the paperwork as the signer is completing the forms ensure accuracy. Upon closing, time is taken to quality control the package, making sure that no check marks or signatures (i.e.. 4506-c form) or notarial stamps were missed and that all requested documents were collected. Once scans (if requested) have been uploaded and the completion report has been updated with the tracking number, I drop docs at an official FedEx/UPS location and retrieve a receipt.
