Before retiring my career was in customer service in both the insurance and healthcare industries. My last position was as the supervisor of the Registration department at a hospital. In this position I was responsible for explaining to and obtaining signatures from patients who were going to be having a surgery. This is very similar to the obtaining of signatures for documents required for loans or any other legal proceeding.
