Responsibilities and Duties
Primary focus was to prepare and review critical closing documents for mortgage home loans and to be
responsible for working closely with title companies to ensure all policies and procedures are
maintained. I also worked closely with the Loan Processors and Loan Officers to ensure accuracy of
documents and submissions. It is important to focus on mortgage assignment creations, including but
not limited to creating assignments, title searches, and understanding chain of title and vesting. Meeting
strict closing deadlines and working under aggressive time constraints is a must.
Essential Job Functions were
● Reviewed title commitments, Closing Protection Letters and associated invoices.
● Reviewed hazard insurance policy for correct coverage and NIH mortgagee clause.
● Reviewed the wire instructions for accuracy; requests revisions if necessary.
● Prepared initial Closing Disclosure.
Ensured that Closing Disclosures are sent before 6:00 p.m. when up against the TRID-required
3-day wait period. Calls member to inform them that the Closing Disclosure was emailed.
● Reconciled Closing Disclosures with SettlementAgents/Title Companies.
● Ensured proper compliance with TRID timelines for delivery of Closing Disclosure.
● Prepared final closing package for first and/or second mortgage loan transactions.
● Reviewed closing documents/packages for complete accuracy.
● Responsible for daily management of loan pipeline closings.
