Hi!! My name is Cynthia Schlecht! I reside in Georgetown. A little about myself: I was born and raised in sunny California until I was about 23 then moved to cloudy/rainy Washington state where I resided for 18 years before moving to Austin, Texas 3 ½ years ago. I recently bought a house in Georgetown and am loving it so far! I have two beautiful adult children (21 and 18) who are an aspiring pilot and engineer! I am happily married for almost 20 years to the love of my life who is deaf. Oh, not to forget, I love spoiling my almost 3-year-old mini-Aussie, Schatzi! I love to meet people from different walks of life and listen to their stories of why and how they came to be that person. It is a beautiful thing and I love learning a thing or two as well! I was raised in the foster system until I graduated high school and I was determined to break the cycle by being the VERY 1st person in my family graduating college with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services Management...and I DID! Loud and proud! I am humbled to be an example that hard work, frustration and tears is rewarding at the end. Having faith and a positive attitude is a gift I cherish each day. My life story isn't over yet, in fact, it is still unfolding! I am excited to see what is next!

I am very fluent in ASL (American Sign Language). I am available for same day signing appointments or appointments scheduled in advance. Prefer to receive texts or emails rather than phone calls. I have an eye for small details that can be easily missed and provide high-level quality that is thorough and dependable. A simple smile, tenderness, compassion and understanding goes a long way to help signers feel at ease before their appointment.
