Hi, my name is Kathy Minter
I have been a Full-Time Certified Signing Agent for "Witness Only Closings for approx. 30 yrs., Real Estate Agent 27 yrs., Loan Officer 2 yrs. and Title Company experience. I am not just a Notary Public I am Experienced to explain the documents to the borrower, only if this is what you require and help keep your closings together at the table due to the borrower(s) usually having unanswered questions and not being able to reach their Loan Officer or Lender during the closing if it is during business hours, late in the evening or on a weekend. When they are unable to reach their Loan Officer to answer their question(s) I can usually help them, but if for some reason I am not able to help them and they tell me they want to cancel the process I try to reach their Loan Officer or Lender until they are able to speak to someone and explain to them that they can get their questions answered during the appointment time.
Many Notaries in the business today just, "Point and tell them to Sign Here" and are not able to offer any assistance to the borrower(s) regarding answers to any of their questions or help them find out the answer for them without breaking the law by given legal advice. In some Vendors eyes Notaries are a dime a dozen but, Experienced Certified Signing Agents are NOT, we should be worth our weight in gold as many Vendors are beginning to realize this! Experienced Certified Signing Agents who have a proven signing record, should be desirable Signing Agents as to what we bring to the closing table. We save you money, by you not having to resend another Notary out because the closing was not completed correctly and by not getting the documents signed exactly like their name(s) is/are indicated on the document or the initials are not printed correctly or the borrower(s) felt so uncomfortable with the "Point and Sign Notary", they cancelled the closing until they are able to get their questions answered and feel more comfortable with the closing process. I can tell you, that many closings I have been assigned too the borrower(s) asked if I am experienced and know what I am doing? Asking me, is it going to take another 2 hours to sign the paperwork and will it be correct? By the time I arrive they are so frustrated and upset during the process and I able to make them comfortable. When I arrive I am usually the only person they will ever meet face-to-face during the process. My job is to be your representative as the Experienced Certified Signing Agent helping them complete the necessary paperwork and close the loan on their Refinance, Purchase, Equity or Cash Out Loan, etc.etc.
My work Ethics are Superior as I will never call you to cancel an appointment unless I am in the hospital, unable to get out of bed due to severe sickness beyond what I can physically handle or called away for a Emergency Family Matter. Once I take a job I will fulfill my commitment to you and your company. I feel a Vendor is looking for "Experienced Certified Signing Agents they can count on at any moment to fulfill the appointment they were given and bring it to a successful conclusion.
I also have access to Title Company and Attorney Offices for Equity Loan Closings. Additional fee of $50.00 is required to use office for closings.
