200+ signings error free, RON- Nexsys, NNA certified, trained, and insured Notary in Washington State (since 2017) with 28 years of experience in the criminal justice/ legal system. My professional experience includes a BA in criminology with the most recent 5 years as an administrative law expert in the position of Hearings Officer III for the state. This role requires fair and impartial decisions to be rendered in supervision (probation/ parole) violation hearings. The Notary Signing Agent profession and Code of Conduct expectations align well with my background. I am available in Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, Yakima, Adams, Grant, Asotin, Garfield, Whitman, Kittitas, and Klickitat counties.

Relevant experience: Accurately and timely prepare, document, record, report, and follow legal guidelines for all proceedings. Expertise in reviewing and interpreting legal documents, administering affirmations, completing official reports, uploading/downloading documents and recordings, maintaining privacy per State requirements, and ensuring that those accused were advised of (and understood) all rights. Specifically, evaluating for competency, language barriers, or disabilities that might impact an individual’s ability to defend themselves. If there are any concerns, those issues must be mitigated before moving forward. The notarial role requires a similar set of skills and responsibilities.

Additionally, presenting myself in a professional manner is a critical part of the proceedings and when performing notarial duties. It not only sets the tone for the participants, but modeling calm and respectful communication is critical in maintaining decorum and instilling confidence in my decision-making and/or execution of duties. Being on time and dependable are also inherent qualities required of the positions.

Safety considerations are important in every profession. I am skilled and trained to evaluate environment for risk factors, and in using verbal de-escalation tactics to diffuse tense situations. I am also fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and adhere to mask and distancing protocols as required.
