I first became a Mobile Notary & Loan Signing Agent in July 2016 in Florida. I remained so through July 2020. I have just recertified in California as a Mobile Notary & Loan Signing Agent. I was a Real Estate agent for many years, which I believe gives me a bit of an edge having that familiarity with the process of closing a real estate transaction. I do provide scan backs if required. I am a member of the NNA and fully covered with E&O insurance through Traveler's. Regarding a background check, I already have a current background check completed and saw no reason to get another.
