Karen Hatcher worked as a legal assistant and paralegal in the state of Mississippi for 5 years. She subsequently moved to Texas and worked as a free-lance legal assistant and paralegal for various law firms for another 3 years. In both Mississippi and Texas, Karen worked with attorneys in the areas of family law, personal injury litigation, real estate law, corporate law and estate planning. Karen moved to Louisiana in 1992 and after many years as a consultant and paralegal, passed the State of Louisiana notary exam in 2008.
