The last thirty-three years of my career I was with two companies...Emerson (1987-2000) and Staples (2000-2020). I held positions of District and Regional Sales Manager, and Regional Sales Director. Staples has a contract division that deals with corporate, government, education, and healthcare entities. It was in that position that part of my responsibilities were to read, understand, red line, and know the fine details of contracts we were in the process of negotiating, implementing, or carrying out.
