I am retired from the Galax VA Department of Social Services. I worked there for 12 years and 6 months. I had caseloads of people that had applied for Snap and Medicaid. I completed interviews and kept records of their files and their yearly renewals. For the state, things had to be done in a timely manner or the office was out of compliance. Before working for the Department of Social Services, I was the executive director for another company. I did the payroll and got information together for board meetings. The business had a food pantry, and I made appointments for delivery and pickups of food.
